An article by Luke Bodin, Director at BA Events
For those of you that have attended events, we have organised before you will know one thing. We love creating video. There are so many reasons why video will make your events more interesting, boost engagement and take your events to the next level.
Here are our top three.
1. Video is a great marketing tool.
Social media posts with video have 48% more views. If you have created videos for your event these can be cut down into shorter clips optimised for social media. Even if you are not using social media to promote your event, videos can be added into your email campaign to allow attendees to get a preview before an event.
A video is a great way of building up suspense before an event driving attendees to your event.
2. Video is a great way to perfect your message.
The benefit of creating a video to share an important message is that you can perfect it before the event. You can capture all your footage in advance, have a thorough script and motion graphics to support your message.
We often use video to help clients show off projects they have been working on. There is only so much you can explain via text and images. However, the video really brings your subject to life.
3. Video grabs attention.
How many conferences have you been to where people are half asleep, then all of a sudden, a video plays and they are hooked? A video with high-quality footage, good audio and appropriate background music really grabs attention.
We ask attendees for feedback after all events and regularly get told that the videos from the event really stood out to them.
If you want your events to be remembered, create video.
