We have been lucky enough to deliver supplier engagement events for many clients – construction companies, local authorities and project teams.
There are some things you can do to make your supplier engagement events more interactive that can be applied to online, in-person and even hybrid events.
So we’ve pulled together 4 things you need to deliver your supplier engagement events.
Polls and engagement
Once attendees have registered for your supplier engagement day consider creating a poll/questionnaire for them to complete. This shows that your interested in hearing the views of your suppliers. It can be done as soon as attendees register for the event or perhaps on the event day. This useful data and analytics can help you make decisions going forward.
Private 121 bookings
One of the things a construction company we work for doing extremely well is a 121 Director Surgery session. The way this works is that attendees can go online ahead of the event, book a 15-minute slot with the Director via the microsite which secures time in that Director’s diary.
Breakout groups
Consider the table layout at your supplier engagement event. If possible, get a host from your organisation to be the head of each table if you’re in cabaret seating. They can lead the discussion and host mini breakout groups throughout the day.
Marketing for future events
Ensure you take plenty pictures and videos at your supplier engagement day. You could consider asking a few of your suppliers to talk on camera where they discuss what they have found useful about the day. This can be used to market your future supplier engagement days.
